Community Investment

At United Way of the Crossroads, we strive for better health, youth success and financial stability for every person in all of our communities.  We partner with local agencies which focus on goals and successful outcomes covering education, financial stability, and health and we work together to create long-lasting changes that improve lives and create possibilities for the future.

TRADITIONAL GRANT PROCESS

The United Way of the Crossroads raises money to support programs and services at local Partner Agencies that positively affect the significant issues in our communities. Your one gift to the United Way of the Crossroads impacts over 22,000 people each year in Victoria, Goliad, Lavaca and DeWitt counties and the city of Gonzales.

Our Partner Agencies complete a grant application requesting funding for specific programs affecting youth success, health and financial stability.  Our volunteers, who are also donors, complete an evaluation of the application and presentations from the agencies in order to assist in making funding decisions in a unique process known as the Community Investment Process.
